  • Learn about the the basic techniques of importing, best business practices and gain a thorough understanding of import regulations in order to avoid delays, fines, penalties or loss of import privileges.

  • China Sourcing Roundtable Set for January 20
  • September China Roundtable

    As a follow up to our September China Roundtable discussion, the WTC in partnership with MANTEC is offering a more focused roundtable discussion with an emphasis on sourcing. Join us at our York office for breakfast, from 8:30 am - 10:00 am on January 20 and meet with fellow manufacturers who currently source products from China or are interested in starting to source products. Share your successes, strategies, problems, and risks or just listen and learn.

  • Low Cost Opportunity to Exhibit at the Hannover Industrial Fair
  • The U.S. Commercial Service has organized an American Business Center in the Energy Hall of the Hannover Industrial Fair, and will have exhibit space for a limited number of Pennsylvania companies for only $1,000.

    The participation fee includes four days of private meetings with prospective business partners, a multilingual assistant/interpreter to assist you in setting up appointments during the show, Europe- wide promotion, including translation of your company's products and business objectives, year- round internet promotion on the Hannover Fair and U.S. Embassy portals, entry into the Hannover Fair exhibitor catalog and more!   • Pennsylvania's Center for Trade Development Announces Trade Mission to Russia and Poland
  • A business development mission for PA companies with an interest in Russia and Poland is planned for May 31, 2010 through June 4, 2010. The mission is open to all industry sectors.

    Deadline to register for this mission is March 19, 2010 and you can download the flyer for more information and registration details.

  • PA Booth at the Global Petroleum Show in Calgary
  • The Global Petroleum Show is the most significant petroleum event in the world and will be held from June 8-10, 2010 in Calgary, Canada . More than 60,000 visitors and 2,000 exhibitors will be in attendance. The State is organizing a Pavilion to highlight PA companies in a key location at this show.
    The registration deadline is March 1 and cost to participate is $2500 for a turnkey package, which includes qualified appointment setting, breakfast briefing, light box with company graphics, company listing in trade show guide, catalog display and use of meeting space.
