We have been spending the summer preparing for some great events and special initiatives for the next several months. Check our website often for updated information. We hope to see you at one of our upcoming WTC events. Thanks for your support!


  • "Bringing the World to Pennsylvania"
  • The annual "Bringing the World to Pennsylvania" Celebration featuring 23 Overseas Representatives from the State of Pennsylvania's Trade Offices will be held on September 17 at the Holiday Inn Holidome in York. Individual company appointments with the Pennsylvania Overseas Representatives will be scheduled throughout the day. In addition, the event will include a luncheon program featuring WTC Member, Pierre Jean Delaye, COO of Roommates, a Division of York Wallcoverings. Mr. Delaye will discuss his successes and challenges in the global marketplace. After the luncheon program, a dessert reception will give attendees the opportunity to network with the Overseas Representatives and other attendees. There will also be a seminar focusing on the CE Mark, CCC, and Reach for those companies that must comply with these directives. The cost to attend is $45 for WTC members or $65 for non-members.   • The WTC of Central Pennsylvania partnered with the Central Penn Business Journal to publish an international business supplement in the August 28 issue of the Central Penn Business Journal. If you are not a Business Journal subscriber, but would like a copy of the supplement, please let us know.   • The World Trade Centers Association will host the 39th annual General Assembly from November 7-10, in Dubai. This event provides a forum for WTC members around the world to gather, network, and conduct business. This is a great opportunity to establish connections with other WTC members worldwide.

  • WTC Member Spotlight- Corporate University Xchange
  • WTC Member, Corporate University Xchange offers research, advisory services, and benchmarking for corporate universities/enterprise learning on a global scale. Research provided by Corporate University Xchange includes the most comprehensive global benchmarking for corporate universities of its kind.   • NAFTA Seminar
  • This full day seminar will discuss the principles of tariff classification, how to identify, interpret and apply the appropriate Rule of Origin and how to correctly complete the NAFTA Certificate of Origin. Speakers include Attorneys, Holly Files and Michael Murphy, of Baker McKenzie. The workshop will be held on November 13, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Eden Resort in Lancaster. Cost is $75.00 for members and $125.00 for non-members.

  • International Service Center to Host Event
  • WTC Member, the International Service Center will be hosting an informative conference, "Combating Human Trafficking in Asia." The event will be held on September 6, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. at Harrisburg Area Community College.   • Berks Economic Partnership to Host Foreign Trade Zone Seminar
  • The Berks Economic Partnership will host a Foreign Trade Zone seminar on September 9 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Reading Hotel. The seminar will focus on the competitive advantages that a Foreign Trade Zone can provide for your business. There is no cost to attend.   • Marketing Roundtables
  • The WTC, in conjunction with MANTEC, will be hosting the first of a series of marketing roundtables on September 28 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the WTC Office in York. The cost is free for WTC members or $10 for non-members. The series will include roundtables on domestic and international topics. The first roundtable will focus on domestic marketing and the topic for discussion will be the impact of technology on marketing.
