  • Over 100 Company Meetings in Gettysburg
  • Local business leaders meet with PA trade reps from Chile, Canada, China and South Africa.

Companies from throughout the midstate took advantage of the opportunity to meet one-on-one with Pennsylvania's overseas trade representatives from 14 different countries during the annual "Bringing the World to Pennsylvania" event. The program was held on October 6 in Gettysburg and throughout the day, more than 100 company appointments were scheduled. An additional luncheon program drew 75 participants who were welcomed by Senator Terry Punt and Deputy Secretary Joe Hoeffel. Supriya Kanetkar from the State's office in India presented a program on business opportunities in India.

  • Market Access Grant Program Helps Offset Expenses
  • Planning a sales trip to Bangalore? Exhibiting at a trade show in Dusseldorf? Need an interpreter in Beijing? The PA Center for Trade Development's Market Access Grant program can help offset expenses associated with new international marketing initiatives. PA firms can qualify for up to $5,000 in matching funds. Some examples of eligible expenses include trade show exhibition fees, airfare and lodging, fees for website internationalization and much more. Pennsylvania-based firms must have an exportable product or service, have annual revenues under $30 million, and must present a export promotion initiative that focuses on a new market.
For application forms and detailed guidelines, contact the World Trade Center of Central Pennsylvania.
