We invite you to participate in one of our upcoming fall events and meet our newest members, foreign guests and knowledgeable speakers.

  • Join us on October 6 in Gettysburg and welcome PA's Trade Representatives from the following countries:

    * Singapore * South Africa *Taiwan * UK This day long event will be held at the Wyndham Hotel from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. The lunch program with dessert reception starts at noon and features Senator Terry Punt, Deputy Secretary Joseph Hoeffel and a presentation on "Business Opportunities in India" by Supriya Kanetkar from Pennsylvania's Representative Office in India.

    Individual company appointments can still be scheduled throughout the day by contacting our office. Cost is $45 for members and $65 for non-members. Cost for appointments only, without the luncheon program, is $15 for members and $25 for non-members.

  • Foreign Trade Zone Essentials
  • A half day seminar dealing with the foreign-trade zones program will be offered on October 26 in Carlisle, PA. Our speaker will provide an overview of foreign-trade zones as well as operational information for companies evaluating the potential use of a foreign-trade zone. Topics include inventory control, record keeping and reporting requirements; direct delivery procedures and weekly entries; and the expedited approval process for small and medium sized manufacturers. The event is co- sponsored by Cumberland County Economic Development, the Franklin Area EDC and the Adams County EDC. Cost for the event is $15.00 and the program will be held at Business Central, 11 North Hanover Street, Carlisle PA from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

  • NAFTA Workshop Offered
  • This full day seminar will discuss the principles of tariff classification, how to identify, interpret and apply the appropriate Rule of Origin and how to correctly complete the NAFTA Certificate of Origin. Stuart Seidel, Partner at Baker & McKenzie, and Kevin Sullivan, Associate at Baker & McKenzie, will be presenting. The workshop will be held on November 9, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Four Points Sheraton in York. Cost is $50.00 for members and $75.00 for non-members.

  • The 37th General Assembly of the World Trade Centers Association will be held in Istanbul, Turkey from October 29 to November 1, 2006. Check out the WTCA website for more information.
