A half day seminar dealing with the foreign-trade zones program will be offered on October 26 in Carlisle, PA. Our speaker will provide an overview of foreign-trade zones as well as operational information for companies evaluating the potential use of a foreign-trade zone. Topics include inventory control, record keeping and reporting requirements; direct delivery procedures and weekly entries; and the expedited approval process for small and medium sized manufacturers. The event is co- sponsored by Cumberland County Economic Development, the Franklin Area EDC and the Adams County EDC. Cost for the event is $15.00 and the program will be held at Business Central, 11 North Hanover Street, Carlisle PA from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

This full day seminar will discuss the principles of tariff classification, how to identify, interpret and apply the appropriate Rule of Origin and how to correctly complete the NAFTA Certificate of Origin. Stuart Seidel, Partner at Baker & McKenzie, and Kevin Sullivan, Associate at Baker & McKenzie, will be presenting. The workshop will be held on November 9, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Four Points Sheraton in York. Cost is $50.00 for members and $75.00 for non-members.
