Greetings!

Special thanks to all of our members and sponsors for supporting our organization!

Changes in AES Rules & Regulations

By January 1, 2006, it will become mandatory for all exporters to file their Shipper Export Declarations (SEDs) electronically via the Automated Export System (AES). Paper SEDs will no longer be accepted. According to the Census Bureau, the use of AES will provide more accurate statistics and increase homeland security and security on planes and vessels. Join us for this informative luncheon program on September 15, and learn about the changes.

WTC Meeting in Shanghai

Several WTC Members will be traveling to Shanghai for the World Trade Centers Association 36th annual General Assembly Meeting which will be held on September 23-25, 2005. The WTCA General Assembly is an annual gathering of the 300 World Trade Centers. It is a great forum to network with the other World Trade Center members from around the globe.

After the General Assembly, mission participants will travel to Hong Kong for a business briefing and one- on-one appointments with companies from Hong Kong. We look forward to hearing about the General Assembly upon their return.

"Bringing the World to You!"

The annual "Bringing the World to You!" Celebration featuring Overseas Contractors from nine of the State of Pennsylvania's Overseas Trade Offices will be held on October 5 at the Eden Resort in Lancaster.

Individual company appointments with the Pennsylvania Overseas Contractors will be scheduled throughout the day. In addition, the event will include a networking reception and luncheon program sponsored by First Energy and MANTEC. This is a great opportunity to meet with the Overseas Contractors!

Marketing Roundtables

The WTC of Central Pennsylvania will begin offering monthly member roundtables discussing various international marketing topics. It will give members the opportunity to share successes and challenges in the global marketplace.

If you are interested in additional information about the meetings, please send an email to kristin@wtccentralpa.org or call us at 717-843-1090. Roundtables are open to members only!

In addition, join us for an informative luncheon program on October 20, focusing on international marketing. Details coming soon!
