Greetings!
We are picking peaches for market, and they are smelling & tasting awesome!  We hope all of you are as excited for peach season as we are on the farm.  We will also be bringing an array of veggies, berries and plums to market this weekend.  Bring extra bottles of water, as its going to be a scorcher!

We have lots of exciting stuff going on at the farm, so be sure to check out our Facebook page in the next day or so for a slideshow of on-goings at the farm!

We look forward to seeing you at market!
Berry Specials!!
It is indeed berry season, and we have some awesome berry specials for you!!

Last week we started a "Mix & Match" Special on Red Raspberries and Blueberries, and now we are including our Blackberries in the special!  We are offering 2 boxes for $9.00.  Make a beautiful trifle or berry salad for your 4th of July festivities!  We have blueberries available for purchase by the flat; so if you are looking to freeze blueberries or make jam, this is the deal for you!  Click here to learn how its so easy to incorporate Blueberries into your meals.

We are also featuring a special on Gooseberries & Currants.  While neither of these little fruits are renowned, they are a nice addition to other berry treats.  Both of the fruits are tart and acidic.  Gooseberries have a green or purple firm skin with tiny edible seeds.  When their skin becomes opaque, they are perfectly ripe and ready to eat.  They are good with roasted meats, such as goose.  Gooseberries also make delicious jams, or add a nice sweet-tart accent to a sweet pie.   Currants are a much more delicate fruit.  We grow Red, Pink, White, and the pine-like Black currants.  Currants are very popular in scones and muffins, and as a sauce, puree, or juice.   For those of you who make your own wines, Currants are an excellent addition to your home-made wines.  Put your culinary senses to the test, and try our Gooseberries and Currants; they are on special...$8.00 for two boxes!
Markets Canceled on July 4th
American flagThe Farmers Markets which we attend on Wednesdays will be canceled next week because of the 4th of July Holiday.  These are the OakMarr, Wakefield, and NoMa Farmers Markets.
We hope all of you have a wonderful holiday, and we look forward to seeing you on July 11th!
Last of our Fall Apples, but Peaches are Here!
If you have been enjoying our Fuji and GoldRush apples, it is your last chance to get-your-fill!  We will soon be out of our Fuji and GoldRush apples.

Yes, we have started picking our summer apples - Lodi and Transparent - which are excellent for making applesauce.  If you would like to place an old phoneorder for 1/2 bushels of Lodi or Transparent apples, please call our office:  717-334-2722.

But as we do every year, we say "so long" to our apples and "hello, beautiful!" to our tree-ripened peaches.  Our peaches are in, and we have steady supply, so if you are looking to make a pie, cobbler, or jam, half bushels are available at market.   peaches at market
