President's Letter

Our 20th season is off to an excellent start.

IMCA 20 YEARS STRONG!

Our September 12th Luncheon featured Mr.  Jim Phippard as our luncheon speaker, who shared with us, in pictures and words, his experiences on his recent trip to Cuba.  Jim's presentation was very well received and resulted in a lively Q&A period following his presentation.

By now you should have received our Winter Program Speaker Schedule highlighting the six outstanding Luncheon Speakers we have engaged for you.

Larry McDonald, our Program Director and his Program Committee, have done an excellent job recruiting these distinguished speakers for our six Winter Luncheon Programs, which I consider the best cadre of speakers that has addressed our International Men's Club.

My focus as your President has been to make IMCA the Premier venue in South West Florida, to reshape our hospitality procedures aimed at increasing and enhancing your membership experience and to seek greater membership participation in all our Social, Cultural, Educational and Nature Programs.  We offer over 35 of these programs as shown in our Event Schedule, and I want to encourage you to take advantage of our varied and excellent offerings.  There is something for everyone to enjoy and participate in.  Thanks to your dedicated Board, we are making significant progress in all of the above areas by focusing on our mission:"Building Bridges of Friendship."

We are a member managed organization and as such we not only appreciate our members' willingness to participate and serve in various positions, but depend on it for the smooth and seamless functioning of our club.

Our Nominating Committee chairman, Robert Fairbrother, is looking for volunteers to help us fill four Directorships (Treasurer, Membership, Social and Luncheon) in addition to helping us staff various Committee positions. Please consider taking on the challenge to serve your club.

Our October 10th Luncheon is right around the corner, and Dr. Jay Wolff will address us on:
SOUTH AFRICA, DIAMONDS ARE NOT FOREVER.  Please sign up for this exciting presentation.

I am looking forward to welcoming you to our last Summer Program on October 10th.
