Our first Book Club Season has ended and it was a great success!
The next season starts on November 19, at the Glen Eagle Country CLub.
The book GOOD MUSLIM, BAD MUSLIM by Mahmood Mamdani will be discussed, with the author present, if he is available.
Additional summer reading is KEN FOLLOT'S  CENTURY TRILOGY  
"WINTER OF THE WORLD", for discussion at the December 17 meeting.

President's Letter  

  

       While some of you are roaming the far flung corners of the world, some of us (56%) are enjoying the "quiet time in Naples" and also the many great deals on restaurant offerings including great golf deals.

         

            Wherever you are, I wish you safe travels, and a very enjoyable and healthy summer season, and a safe return to 'Paradise'.

            This is the year in which we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary.

                   IMCA 20 YEARS STRONG

            During our 20th year as an outstanding International Men's Club it is worth reflecting on the four words our founders enshrined in our Charter, which we proudly display in our IMCA Logo and which drive our mission:

              Building Bridges of Friendship

These four words are precisely what makes IMCA such a unique and premier venue in Southwest Florida, and which differentiates us from many other men's clubs in the area.

            Building Bridges of Friendship to promote international understanding and to encourage learning, camaraderie and mutual respect requires more than just offering a monthly Luncheon with a renowned speaker, albeit that this is an important and essential pillar of our "Bridge".

            It requires a second pillar which supports our engaging and interesting social, cultural, educational and nature programs in which we all can participate.

            We currently offer annually over 35 such programs.

            All members of IMCA are "Bridge Builders" and I encourage you to take full advantage of our many and varied events.

          Our committee responds, for the IMCA Board, to death and illness issues in our Club. We send sympathy cards, make phone calls and visits, distribute obituaries to the Membership and anything else our President directs.
          Please inform Don at (239) 352-9161 or  drcomin@aol.com if you are aware of any situation within IMCA which would
require follow-up by our Committee. 
        We will not make calls/visits or send Membership flyers without some assurance they are desired by the Member or Family. Generally we will not write about ill or deceased spouses to the Membership, but we will contact them as appropriate.
          Please help us by sending as complete and prompt information as you know about members who fit the above, and suggest members who we might contact to get further information.  We need your help.
