 The speaker, Mr C. Michael Armstrong, retired CEO of AT&T is giving a presentation on "Ethics in Business".
Mike Armstrong is also the past Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Health System Corporation and Hospital. He is the retired Chairman and Director Emeritus of Comcast Corporation, and Hughes Electronics. Prior to these positions, he spent more than three decades with IBM. Beginning as a systems engineer, he rose through the ranks to become Chairman of the Board of the IBM World Trade Corporation.
Mike is the former Chairman of the President's Export Council (President Clinton), the U.S. - Japan Business Council, and the FCC's Network Reliability and Interoperability Council.
He is a former member of the Business Council, the Business Roundtable where he served as chairman of the Homeland Security Task Force, The National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, the Defense Policy Advisory Committee and Visiting Professor, MIT Sloan School. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and The Conference Board.
Mr. Armstrong presently serves on the Board of Directors of IHS (Information Handling Services), IDS, the Philharmonic Center for the Arts (Naples, FL), the Forum Club of Southwest Florida, and the Telluride Foundation. He is a senior advisor at SV Investment Partners and Tudor Venture Capital.
MENU: The entrée is Sliced Sirloin Steak with Mashed Potatoes & Gravy, and Chef's Fresh Vegetables. The alternative entrée is a Vegetable Plate or a Fruit Plate. Rolls, coffee, iced tea, lemonade and fountain soda are included. Dessert is Bread Pudding. Spouses and guests are welcome. The cost is $25 per person.
Those who have prepaid can go directly to the coffee/ice tea stations after 11:15 a.m. The courtesy table is for those who need to pick up their name tags, special food-selection place cards, etc. Lunch begins at 12 Noon.
