 Dine-Out Program

The Dine-Out program begins on January 20.

IMCA Dine-Out evenings provide a great opportunity to get to know other members and their spouses

in a relaxed, informal setting. Four to six couples gather for drinks and hors d'oeuvres at a host's home and then go on to dinner at a nearby restaurant (with separate checks). We especially invite our newer members to take advantage of these great evenings.

Please visit the IMCA website  www.imcofa.com to sign up for Dine-Outs. December 24 is the deadline for the January 20 Dine-Out. If you miss the deadline, feel free to contact Neal Dunning at hndunning@comcast.net or by phone at 239 498-1571 to sign up for the February and/or April Dine-Out. Greetings!

A Great Start to our Year!

We are going from success to success, with more great activities coming up.

Our Dinner Dance Gala on December 7 was a big hit. Over 115 members and guests dined and danced the night away at the Vineyards Country Club. Thanks to Bob von Wojcik, Jim McDonald, and Henry Pfendt for organizing a wonderful event.

Nearly 80 members and guests attended our December luncheon, where Mr. Dolf von Arx shared insights gained from doing business in Russia and China. His interesting talk contrasted the vastly different approaches of the "Russian Bear" and the "Chinese Dragon."

We have a host of events coming up in January: Stammtisch on January 4; our monthly Luncheon on January 9; Book Club on January 16; our Sarasota Bus Trip to visit the Ringling Museum on January 18;and our first Dine-Out of the season on January 20.

Visit   www.imcofa.com   for more information on all future events. Early registration is encouraged and much appreciated by our planners and organizers.

Looking ahead to February, our group outing to the Opera Naples production of Faust on February 16 is sold out, and the waiting list is full as well. On February 8 we are invited to attend the Welcome to Florida International Women's Club luncheon at Grey Oaks, featuring a retired G-man who will share real-life tales of spies and espionage. We have a growing reciprocal relationship with our sister club, having invited them to attend our Dinner Dance Gala for the past two years.

I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events, and wish all of you Happy Holidays and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
