DECEMBER IMCA LUNCHEON
The Russian Bear vs. The Chinese Dragon Monday, December 12 Our next luncheon, on Monday, December 12, promises to be a great one. Mr. Dolf von Arx will speak on the topic,"The Russian Bear vs. the Chinese Dragon," highlighting differences in doing business in these countries from a firsthand perspective. The luncheon will be at the Vineyards Country Club, 400 Vineyards Boulevard, Naples, Florida 34119. Mr. von Arx is the former Chairman, President and CEO of Planters LifeSavers Company, an affiliate of RJR Nabisco. He retired after 33 years in the consumer products business sector. Currently, he is the lead director of Cree, Inc, (Nasdaq CREE), a worldwide technology company that develops and manufactures LEDs. A prominent philanthropist in our community, Mr. Von Arx chaired the Regional Business Alliance of Southwest Florida and served as Chairman of the NCH Healthcare System for 10 years. He is currently Chairman of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. Additionally, he is a Board Member of the Florida Gulf Coast University School of Business, the Naples Museum of Art and the Economic Development Council of Collier County. A native of St. Louis, Mr. von Arx is a graduate of Washington University and a former Naval Aviator. He and his wife reside in Naples. The menu choice is Pot Roast with Braised Vegetables. The alternate entrée is a Vegetable Plate or a Fruit Plate. Rolls, coffee, iced tea, lemonade and fountain soda are included. Dessert is Rice Pudding. Spouses and guests are welcome. The cost is $25 per person. Check in starts at 11:15 a.m. with lunch at 12:00 noon. Please go to the reception table to check in and pick up name tags and vegetable or fruit plate cards.
