Residents of Flowood, MS finally realized a long term renovation of one of their most popular parks, and No Fault Sport Group, LLC played an integral part. After more than seven months of work, Winner's Circle Park will now offer more amenities. Trent Rhodes, the landscape architect who designed the upgrades, said the ambitious project cost about $1.9 million.
Trent Rhodes said another concern city officials had was the "sand" surface on the playground. This is where No Fault was able to step in and exceed expectations. "We met with city officials and a group from the city to determine what their desires were (for the park)," Rhodes said. "Over time (the old sand surface) would move around and compromise the shock absorption."
The new surface would be No Fault Safety Surface Poured-in-Place, comprised of recycled rubber tires. Rhodes said our surface alleviated any safety concerns. Note: More than 5700 tires were re-used to create the special surface cushioning falls from the highest point within the area.
Greg Wilcox, head of the city's park and recreation division, said our No Fault Safety Surface also makes the playground area handicapped accessible (according to the Americans with Disabilities Act). Our surface provided the chance to create various color blends and patterns. It gave officials and the park patrons a seamless surface that was also easy to maintain.
The playground equipment representative for this project was Max Maxwell of Playscapes of Mississippi. Max stated, "Jennifer and Jay, my two points of contact at No Fault, have always been professional, personal and very easy to work with. During the design process, No Fault could not have been more helpful. We went to the playground committee several times with revisions. Each time, they were quick to respond to the changes needed." Max went on to say, "Their installers did an excellent job with the surfacing working daylight to dark thirty and finished days before the estimated time of completion. Needless to say, the General Contractor was very pleased with their speed."
No Fault was able to help everyone achieve what was envisioned with this project. For more information on the Winner's Circle Park project, please go to: Winner's Circle Park.
