Some of the best training council has to offer will be held on January 15th, 2011 at Deerfield High School. There will be skits to be performed, songs to be sung, ropes to be tied, food cooked in Dutch ovens, and many types of training certification to be taken. Take this opportunity to be Youth Protection trained so that you are not dropped from your charter.

All this can be had for the low, low price of only $20.00. However, if you act promptly, the early bird price of only $15.00 is in effect if you pay by December 17, 2010.

New this year for your convenience is online registration at http://glaciersedge.org/powwow You can pay online using your Visa or Mastercard or you can send your payment to the Scout Office. There is no additional charge for paying online.

Hello Venturing Crew Members and Advisors!

To help ring in the New Year and celebrate the end of 2010, the Glacier's Edge Council has set up a special indoor water park day at Mt. Olympus for you and a friend to have some Venturing fun!

Gathering and registration 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM

Bring a friend to sign up for the fun that is Venturing. New Crew Members and the Venturers that recruited them will receive a free Pizza Lunch from 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM. During lunch we will have a Venturing Crew Year Round Activities Promotion.

Cost for the Indoor Water Park - $5.00 for a full day pass per Venturer / Advisor (Indoor Water Park hours 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM)

Boy Scout Troop Ski Trip Special Day Rate

Christmas Mountain Village is excited to announce a special rate for Boy Scout troops interested in planning a ski outing for their troop. Groups must have a minimum of 10 participants to qualify for the special troop rate of:

$15 per person includes:
Lift ticket

Rental (ski or board)

1 hour Group Lesson

For every 10 Boy Scouts attending Christmas Mountain Village will give 1 free rental, lift ticket, and group lesson to an adult chaperon. Group lesson for troop will be for either snowboarding or skiing and be geared towards the lowest skilled participants. Groups with more than 20 participants could choose 2 group lessons, one skiing one boarding. Groups must be booked no later than 72 hours in advance. Must be a registered boy scout to participate.

This special Boy Scout rate is only available on the following Sundays when troops preregister with Christmas Mountain Village.

Christmas Mountain Village does not allow any carry-in food or beverages. However, we have special pricing for Boy Scouts, for only $5 per person you can include a nice meal. For every 10 meals purchased the chaperone will receive a free meal. Please contact Jayson Pettit ahead of time to make your food arrangements. Ticket prices: Scouts Grade 9-12: $18, other youth and adults $9.

Ticket requests must be submitted by Friday, December 17, 2010. However, tickets will only be available while supplies last. Requests will be filled by date received. People who wish to sit together should submit their entire order at one time. Orders will be mailed approximately two weeks prior to the game. Orders will be filled at the discretion of the Athletic Ticket Office on a first come, first served basis. Tickets will be assigned from available seats in the upper reserved (300 Level, Row D and above) while supplies last.
