Friday Study Hall
Friday Study Hall has been instituted as a mandatory support system for our students in grades 7 - 12 who are struggling academically. The intent of these required Friday Study Halls is to provide extra time for homework and an extra opportunity for tutoring to help failing students raise their grade to a passing level in all courses.
- Based on next Monday's progress reports, students with an F in any course will be required to attend Friday Study Hall on September 21st and September 28th.
- Junior High Friday Study Hall will run from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. If a student misses it, he must stay 2 hours the following Friday to make it up. If this is not done, the consequence will be an in-school suspension. Junior High teachers and aides will be available at Friday Study Hall to help students.
- High School Friday Study Hall will run from 1:30 to 3:30 P.M. If a student misses it, he must stay the following Wednesday from 3:00 - 5:00 P.M. If this is not done, the consequence will be an in-school suspension. High School teachers and aides will be available at Friday Study Hall to help students.
- If there is a conflict with another extracurricular activity, Friday Study Hall takes priority.
