Lunch Charges
Negative lunch charges must be paid ASAP. Seniors must have all lunch charges paid by May 18th. Any remaining negative lunch balances for all other grades must be paid by May 25th. Checks should be made payable to The Vanguard School. Thank you for your cooperation!
Vanguard Summer Programs
-Pre-Algebra Summer School
Description: This course is designed to prepare students for success in Algebra 1. Throughout this course students will review Pre-Algebra material such as proportions, ratios, and word problems. Students will also visit introductory Algebra topics such as solving equations and addition of like terms. Email matt.vanwieren@cmca12.com for further questions regarding the Pre Algebra program.

Dates: Monday, June 18th through Thursday, July 26th
Time: 8:00 - 10:45 AM on Monday through Thursday
Cost: $225 (Pay at The Vanguard School Front Office)
-English Summer School (8th, 9th, & 10th grades)
Description: This course will cover literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Students in this class will be reading Antigone and Frankenstein as well as various short stories and poems. Writing in this course will include a once a week writing lab in conjunction with daily in class writing assignments. A thesis paper and final exam will be required. For 9th and 10th graders, this course will count as one semester of credit recovery. This course is also available for CMCA 8th graders who have failed only English, preventing them from attending The Vanguard School. If taken and passed, this course allows entrance to 9th grade at The Vanguard School. Email rachel.stickel@cmca12.com for further questions regarding the English program.

Summer Basketball Camp
This summer, Vanguard basketball players and coaches will offer two basketball camps, one for grades 1-4 and the other for grades 5-9. Campers will receive individual fundamental skill instruction along with team-oriented concepts that emphasize good sportsmanship, work ethic and team spirit. Each player will grow in his/her skill, intensity, and confidence. Click here for more information!
