The Vanguard School will be hosting high school information night on Thursday, January 19th at 6:30PM in the Vanguard Library. Families with children in grades 7-12 are invited to visit the campus, learn about our outstanding college preparatory program, and meet students, parents, and teachers. You already know about our high standards, rigorous academics, competitive athletics, award-winning fine arts program, and character and leadership development opportunities. You already know about what it takes to be successful at CMCA and Vanguard: hard work, good character, and a commitment to excellence. You may know of some families whose children would be a great addition to the CMCA family. If so, please spread the word! Encourage them to attend a high school information night and learn more about how a Vanguard education can prepare their children for success. Thank you in advance for your support!

TCAP stands for Transitional Colorado Assessment Program and is the new name for CSAP. The schedule for TCAP testing is as follows:
Feb 28-29 -- Grade 3 Reading Tests
Mar 13-15 -- Grades 4-10 Reading/Writing Tests
Mar 20-22 -- Grades 3-10 Math Tests and Grades 5, 8, 10 Science Tests
PE Cold Weather Procedures
PE classes are still going outside when the temperature is 20 degrees or warmer. The weather can change hour to hour so parents and students should never assume that they will stay inside. The gym can be cold as well. Students should be dressing in layers and have appropriate accessories like hats and gloves with grip. Students need athletic-looking pants, shirts, and jackets. Athletic running shoes are still to be worn. To keep the feet warmer, a student may wear thin wool socks. Feel free to ask the PE teachers for more clarification. There is a lost and found box in the southeast corner of the gym. Items will be donated before holiday breaks and at the end of each quarter.
