Helping a Struggling Student
Does your child struggle behaviorally or academically? An informational meeting will be given presenting three possible ways to impact your child's learning (and behavior) in a positive way. The presentation will be in the SpEd Room on the Wahsatch campus on December 1st, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. There will be no child care available. Click here for more information.
Spread the Word!
Did you know that the majority of newly enrolled families were introduced to our school by veteran families? That's right-CMCA families like yours have helped to spread the word about our excellent educational program to families across the Pikes Peak region, and we are requesting your help again! Full enrollment is critical to achieving adequate funding and to create enough student participation for all of the various activities that we offer.
The Vanguard School will be hosting high school information nights on Tuesday, December 6th and Thursday, January 19th at 6:30PM in the Vanguard Library.Families with children in grades 7-12 are invited to visit the campus, learn about our outstanding college preparatory program, and meet students, parents, and teachers. You already know about our high standards, rigorous academics, competitive athletics, award-winning fine arts program, and character and leadership development opportunities. You already know about what it takes to be successful at CMCA and Vanguard: hard work, good character, and a commitment to excellence. You may know of some families whose children would be a great addition to the CMCA family. If so, please spread the word! Encourage them to attend a high school information night and learn more about how a Vanguard education can prepare their children for success. Thank you in advance for your support!
Flu Shots Recommeded
Colorado Springs just experienced the first hospitalization of a child directly related to the FLU. This past week at CMCA, several students have been sent home with viral/flu like symptoms. Good hand washing technique coupled with an annual vaccination is the best prevention. During our Thanksgiving break please give serious consideration to having your child vaccinated. Readily available at both physician offices and retail pharmacies, obtaining the "flu shot" is easier than ever. Help prevent lost school days for your child as winter approaches. Have a wonderful holiday break with friends and family and stay healthy!
Sub Training
Substitute Training for people those interested in subbing for K-6 will take place on Friday, January 27 from 1:30-4:30 in the Vanguard Library. |
