Ybor City Chamber Installs New Board of Directors

 Andrea Gonzmart becomes Chair of the Board

 

 

2011 Ybor logo icon(Tampa, Florida) The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce installed its new Board of Directors today, Tuesday, May 8th, 11:45 AM at its Annual Installation Luncheon at the Columbia Restaurant. Andrea Gonzmart, fifth generation member of the Gonzmart Family, Owners/Operators of the Columbia Restaurant, was sworn-in by her father Richard Gonzmart. Andrea works for the Columbia Restaurant Group and handles their Cha Cha Coconuts brand as well as many other key tasks. Ms. Gonzmart has served on the Chamber's Board of Directors and on its Executive Board as both Secretary and Vice-Chair of Marketing.

 

"I am excited to lead the Ybor Chamber in this time of opportunity," said Andrea Gonzmart, new Chair of the Ybor City Chamber. "My family's roots are in deep in Ybor City. My grand-parents, uncles and father have all led the Chamber in their time."

 

She will be joined on the Executive Board by Chair-Elect David Alvarez, BB&T Bank; Vice-Chair Marketing Marc Hamburg, Florida Real Estate Associates; Vice-Chair Membership Richard Chad, Highland Properties; Vice-Chair Events, Bryan Clancy, Sheraton Riverwalk; Treasurer JoAnn Cornelius, Tampa Digital; Secretary John Trujillo, GTE Federal Credit Union and Immediate Past-Chair Andrea White, Bright House Networks.

 

"Andrea brings a youthful enthusiasm to the Chamber's Board ," said Tom Keating, Chamber President & CEO. "She is a respected young leader with broad experience in the hospitality industry and a deep understanding of our community and its history."

 

Board Members elected for new 3-year terms include: Arturo Fuente, Jr., Tampa Sweethearts Cigar Company; Shari Middleton, USAmeriBank; Joe Vigliarolo, J.J.'s Café; Kevin Stencil, C.H. Robinson and Jaclyn Kilpatrick, The Florida Orchestra. The mission of the Ybor City Chamber of Commerce is to preserve and promote Ybor City - Tampa's National Historic Landmark District. The Ybor City Chamber has been Ybor City's champion for 83 years.
