(Tampa, Florida) The Ybor City Chamber of Commerce is preparing to hold its 6th Annual Golf Tournament at the Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club - Monday, May 16th.
The Chamber Tournament benefits the Lois Gaston Scholarship at Hillsborough County Community College.
Tournament check-in begins at 11:00 AM with a shotgun-start at 1:00 PM. Lunch featuring Ybor fair from Carmine's and a Cuban-themed dinner are included. Raffle prizes include room nights, restaurant discounts and golf paraphernalia. Complimentary beer and cigars are provided to participants.
"We always bring a bit of Ybor City to our tournament no matter where we play, said Tournament Chair, David Kemper of WilsonMiller Stantec. "This year, we are adding a "Team Trophy" that will provide 'bragging rights' for the company who's team wins the Chamber's Tournament."
This is a great opportunity for Chamber members and their guests to mix-it-up with business leaders from Ybor's unique Design/Build, Media Production, Hospitality and emerging high-tech clusters. Started in 2005, by then Chair Wes Miller, the Ybor City Chamber Golf Tournament has benefited a student each year in the Motion Media Program at the Ybor City Campus of HCC. Chamber funds are matched by the state and students utilize them to produce a project that can help them get into an advanced film, television or digital production program.
