We are your invisible daughters
which is how I felt until my belly was on the rise
No one saw me when I ran the streets
or heard my cries
while hunger and neglect ripped me up
and my mother would not let me back inside

But now you see me, rub my belly and want me to sing a happy song ... (continued)

You're invited to sponsor an HBP family during the upcoming holiday season as part of HBP's Adopt-A-Family program! By becoming an Adopt-A-Family sponsor, you'll provide a precious family with a joyous Christmas - one they otherwise would not have.

Last year, generous sponsors adopted 143 HBP families. The need is greater now than ever before. More than 200 families count on us for services and support. We would like to make sure each family and each child has a wonderful Christmas. But that's only possible when generous people like you come alongside and give.

To make a difference for a D.C. family, call (202) 396-2809 or

HBP Thanksgiving Baskets Deliver More Than Just a Good Meal
man and thanksgiving basketYou and your organization are invited to help HBP provide food items for Thanksgiving baskets to be delivered to HBP families during the third week in November.

In the past, baskets have included a turkey, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans, corn, carrots, sweet potatoes, rice, cake mix, brownie mix, carrots, butter, eggs - everything that our families need in order to make a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner.

Your generosity allows HBP families to know that so many people care about them. Contact us at (202) 396-2809 or
by email
if you or your organization would like to donate. Thank you!
A Big Thank You to Ronald McDonald House Charities
HBP is honored to be awarded a grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities which will partially fund its Teen Parent Empowerment Program (TPEP) during spring 2012.
Give to HBP and Save Lives

For 20 years, HBP has connected high-risk, underserved pregnant D.C. women and families to health babies in diaperscare, social services, and educational opportunities. Thousands of HBP babies have been born alive and healthy. But recent city budget cuts have slashed HBP funding. We need your help to continue saving and transforming D.C. lives. Give here.

You don't have to see them to help.

Gifts to Healthy Babies Project, Inc. are tax-deductible. Your support means a true chance for D.C. teenagers and women to have productive lives. Giving online is safe and secure. Thank you for caring and giving!
