Greetings!      

This past weekend while attending an AACC conference in Branson, MO, I had the opportunity to meet June Hunt, CEO of Hope for the Heart. Her quiet elegance was striking to me. As I was leaving the conference, I saw June working alongside her
employees carefully repacking her books. A prolific writer, June has captured years of understanding and knowledge through the written word. Something
compelled me to go ask her a question. "As you think about all you have heard, learned and written about over the years, what is the most important message that you want to leave with people?" June responded, "All this is knowledge (gesturing towards the table still laden with many books), but what is ultimately necessary and best is Christ in you the hope of glory." It reminded me of Paul's words - Such a knowledgeable man yet he declares to know "nothing but Christ and Him crucified." Proverbs instructs and the Psalmists declares that fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. True wisdom begins with reverent fear of the Lord - I could read every book in the world, have the knowledge of 100 kings, but without fear of the Lord, I cannot hope to grasp and reflect Christ in me, the hope of glory. And there is good news in this!
