Greetings!
"God is good, all the time. And all the time, God is good." Ah! How those words so readily flow from my lips. And then life's chisel begins to chip away at my engraved vision of what God's goodness means for me. Debilitating illness, yet God is good? All the time. Falling on hard times and yet, God is good? All the time. Where is this good God during all the bad? This question has plagued man since the beginning of creation, simultaneously feeding his doubt and pecking away at his faith. Yet without these moments of failing we cannot possibly grasp the unfailing. As we falter, we find His goodness is no longer tied to our comfort or to our limited understanding. He chose Israel not because they were good - they were stiff necked! But so that He may be glorified through them. The same, my friend, is true of you and me. That is goodness of a heavenly kind.
