****OUTING CHANGE****
With the hot summer that we have been having the water temps have been really high. High water temps for this extended period of time has not been very good for all fish species especially muskies. There have been multiple reports around the state of dead muskies floating because of the temps. So with that in mind we have postponed the Topwater Challunge until Saturday August 25th. More details below in the Muskie Hunter of the Year section below.

DNR Adds Lake Shamineau To Invasive Species List
Eurasian Milfoil has unfortunately made its way to Lake Shamineau. In July the DNR sent crews out to Shamineau to check for the invasive. It was found rooted in several areas on the lake from 3' to 12' of water. It can not be stressed enough on how important it is to inspect, clean and dry your boat before and after each time it is being used. It is all of our responsibility, regardless if using the lake for fishing or recreation, to prevent the spread of invasive species. Click here for the full press release.
It's best not to fish when the water temps become bath water temperatures but if you do, here is some very good tips to follow.

2012 Muskie Hunter of the Year - Round 2 results
Twenty one people hit Lakes Little Boy and Wabedo for round 2 of the Muskie Hunter of the Year. It was tough fishing to say the least. Only just a hand full of fish were seen but Kevin Smith was able to set the hooks home on a nice 43"er to pull within a point of Brett Sande for the MOHTY point lead. Congrats Kevin!
