Welcome to the November edition of the BLC Newsletter.

This month our guest speaker is Tim Anderson of Big Fish Hunt Guide Service. Over the past few years Tim has built the reputation of catching some very impressive muskies. He is a die hard muskie nut that will do what it takes to put you on fish.
Since November's meeting is also Ladies Appreciation night, Tim's presentation is to answer any questions that the muskie fisherladies may have. So bring your questions! It doesn't matter if your question is related to muskie equipment or presentations. Tim is offering up his knowledge to help the ladies of the BLC to become better muskie fisherwomen! Of course the guys can ask to.

Tim will also discuss a strategy for the remainder of the 2010 muskie season.

Trophy Hunt on Miltona recap
 
Boy, things continue to be tough for our outings! Nothing scored for round 5 of the Muskie Hunter of the Year. Several people hit Miltona with every presentation possible. Trolling, casting, draggin' the sausage (suckers)..... nothing produced. We still had a good time like we always do but things are looking really tight for the race for the Hunter of the Year award with only the Iceman left.

The Iceman cometh!

It is on! The Iceman has been set. Saturday November 20th on Lake Alexander. 10am - 3pm. The only thing that will cancel the event is ice. The weather outlook looks promising for fishing. But it can chance in an instant so we'll keep out eyes on it but as of right now it's on!

BLC Board Elections
We will again open the table up for nominations for the 2011 BLC Board at the November meeting. The current Board strongly urges people to step up and run for a position. It's not difficult and there is always plenty of help from other Board members if needed. All it takes is just a little time and dedication to help the BLC grow and work towards improving the Chapter for the future.

If your not sure what is expected please contact a Board member and find out. We'll also review each position at the November meeting. The At Large Director (ALD) is a great position to get "your feet wet" if you'd like to give it a shot.

We would love to see more than one person run for each position. Here are the current nominations as of October.

Afterwards we will be meeting up at Castaways Restaurant on the north side of Alexander to warm up and have a bite to eat.
 
If you will not be able to attend the meeting afterward make sure you contact Jeff at 821-3669 to register your attendance to receive the attendance point in the Muskie Hunter of the Year standings.

Remember to turn in your Release Forms into our Release Chairman Dusty Cartie within 30 days of your release in order to be eligible for the Chapters Release Standings and the Muskies, Inc Lunge Log.
 
Turn your Release Forms at a monthly meeting, submit on the Muskies, Inc website (Fish Submittal)  or send to Dusty at the address below.
