Most of you have paid. If you haven't paid please do so as soon as you can so we can align our budget. Tri-Esox, producers of the Chicago Muskie Show, have contributed $1500 to the Hamm. Also we were notified that the Star of the North Chapter, the winners of last year's Hamm, has donated $500 as well. Both are very much appreciated! We will be looking for cash donations to help cover food expenses for an estimated 175 people attending. We are also looking for prize donations (lures, rods, etc) as well for raffles at the Hamm. If you can assist in either or both of these needs please contact Jeff Young. Thank You! There will be a Gil Hamm website up and running very soon. Within a couple weeks. It will have all the info that you need about the event including: the agenda, fishing times, Chapter's teams, leaderboard, Lake Vermilion info, maps, updates, sponsors, etc. ____________________________________________________ Stocking Proposal Support Letters The BLC, along with the MMA, will be sending out letters to people to educate and look for their support for the 5 lake stocking proposal. One of the biggest concerns out there that is causing opposition is the misconception that northern spearing will be banned on these lakes. It can't be stressed enough to the public and spearers that northern spearing will NOT be banned. The DNR stated clearly that they have no intention what so ever to ban spearing! The spearing bans that are in place now were set some 20 years ago and the mind set of the DNR on spearing bans have changed since then. ____________________________________________________ Courtesy of Breakline Custom Tackle the 2010 Solunar Calendar is now available on our website in the News/Notes section. The calendars are set up for the Brainerd Lakes area and will have to be time adjusted if your fishing east or west of the area. Sunrise/sunset, moonrise/mooset, minor/major times are all available. Here is May and June. Enjoy and Good Luck fishing! ____________________________________________________ Welcome to the Brainerd Lakes area Tom Dietz!
