Annual Lure Swap. It's a great time for picking up or getting rid of some fishing equipment. Bring in your lures, nets, rods, electronics, etc. Summer is coming up quick and it's that time of year to restock or make room in the tackle box!

There are several issues or topics that the BLC is currently involved with.....
* The Waterville feeder project. The BLC has donated $250 to this project. Waterville is a muskie hatchery with a need to install new feeders. All the Chapters in MN have donated fund s to assist with the $9000 bill.
* Cass Lake Spearing Ban. This is a hot bed topic with much debate.

2484. Much like the bill S.F. 2942, mentioned below, legislation is trying to take control of an issue that should be run through the due process of the DNR's policies which includes public input. Please contact the Legislators that have authored this bill.
* Senate Bill to stop muskie stocking. The DNR has created a stocking proposal for 5 lakes in MN. Already before there is any input meetings even set up, a group has gone over the heads of the DNR and had a politician create a bill to stop muskie stocking in South Long Lake. Here is the link to the bill S.F.
2942 and which Senator authored the bill. Please contact him ASAP to show your support for muskie stocking and voice that public resources need to be managed, ruled and regulated by the DNR and their policies and not legislature by people that have limited knowledge of the issue.
