Years Muskie Fishing: 17
First Muskie: It was 39" and it was the biggest muskie I put in the boat at that time. It was boated on Big Lake in the Cass Lake area in Oct.
Favorite Lures: Double 10's are on top of the list. Second would be the Weagle. There's nothing like a top water strike!
Biggest Muskie: I have 2. My longest is 53" but the heaviest is a fat 51"x25". It only took me 15 years to break the 50" mark and I broke that mark 3 times last year!
Favorite Lake: Although I fish Alexander the most cause it's close to my home but I LOVE Big Lake. There's just something about that lake that just turns me on. Maybe it's the fish!
Most Memorable Moment Fishing Muskies: That would have to be the day my daughter Miranda boated her first muskie. The fish hit right at boat side and broke the tip off the rod. Dawn, Donnie and Tim were within ear shot of my YELLING and motored over to see Miranda's fish. After some pics, hugs and high fives Miranda tells me "you yelled really loud dad". I couldn't have been any more prouder than that moment!
