HTA Airline Seat Capacity Outlook for Second Quarter 2012

The HTA has released its Airline Seat Capacity Outlook Report for the second quarter of 2012. The projection is based on flights appearing in OAG and Sabre airline schedules as of March 2012.

Total scheduled seat capacity to the state is expected to climb 5.8 percent during the three-month period from April through June 2012 over the same period last year, buoyed by gains from U.S. West and all of Hawai'i's major international source markets.

HTA recognizes the use of the 'okina ['] or glottal stop, one of the eight consonants of the (modern) Hawaiian language; and the kahakō[ā] or macron (e.g., in place names of  Hawai'i such as Lāna'i).  However, HTA respects the individual use of these markings for names of organizations and businesses.  Due to technological limitations, this current communication may not include all Hawaiian diacritical markings.
