Seany Teen Room Opens!
Seany Room
On Sunday, October 10, patients moved into the new Acute Care Pavilion at Rady Children's Hospital. Before the facility had been debuted, closed, and then sanitized for patient use, members of The Seany Foundation staff were able to get a sneak peek of the teen lounge.

Best Buy will be visiting soon to outfit the room with a plethora of entertaining electronics, and the finishing touches will be completed in the coming weeks.  The Seany Room is now officially open for use.

Thanks to your donations, the adolescent patients in the new oncology wing now have a safe space to call their own!  Ongoing programs to be held in the Seany Teen Room are currently in development.  Check back soon for updates!
Celebration 2010 Raises Over $80K

Thank you to our loyal supporters who attended the 3rd Annual Everything is Possible Celebration on Sunday, October 10 and helped raise over $80,000 for Seany Foundation projects.

This year's Celebration was once again held at the San Diego Hall of Champions in Balboa Park. The evening featured a cocktail reception and silent auction, strolling dinner prepared by Jeffrey Strauss and Pamplemousse Grille, a live auction, an opportunity drawing, and live entertainment by Ruby Summer.  Bill Siegel was honored with the first-ever Seany Community Service Award.  And Dr. William Roberts of Rady Children's Hospital spoke about the importance of continued research.  Over 150 new and old friends of all ages came out for the party.

SDHOCThe Seany Foundation would once again like to give a special thanks to local businesses who helped make this event possible.  For a full list of event sponsors and auction item donors, visit Seany's Blog.

Once again, thank you to
all of our generous donors for making the difference. And be sure to join us for the celebration again next year!

Photos will be posted soon on Seany's Flickr Photostream.

Chase Delivers Check for $20K
Chase Community Giving Program Keeps Its Promise

Chase DeliveryOn Friday, October 8, the Vice President of the Rancho Bernardo branch of Chase stopped by The Seany Foundation office to personally deliver a donation of $20,000.

Thanks to the voters in the Chase Community Giving summer program, The Seany Foundation racked up enough votes to place in the top 100, ensuring it a donation.

A loyal Seany supporter, Natasha Mationg, pointed out, "Online giving contests are one of the easiest ways to donate.  You don't even have to open your own wallet.  You just have to take the time to click a button, and you've made all the difference!"
Seany Nominated by StayClassy
StayClassy
The Seany Foundation was recently selected as a City Finalist for "Most Creative Fundraiser" in San Diego by StayClassy.org.

Online voting took place October 9-22.  Although we didn't advance to the final round, The Seany Foundation would like to thank you for the recognition and encourages you to vote for your favorite San Diego charities still in the running for the 2010 StayClassy Awards.
