Greetings!
As you will read below, we have been very busy providing diverse,
fun activities to raise both funds and awareness. You-- our
donors-- have provided vital funds for our pediatric research projects at UCSD
and Rady Children's Hospital. Our Teen Activity Room will open in a few
short months, and Team Seany will be there to usher in a new era for our
in-patient adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer. We cannot thank you enough for your support and consistent caring.
We had such a fabulous time in Michigan, socializing with our Michigan
donors and loved ones. With gratitude, Mitch and Amy Robins, Co-founders The Seany Foundation 800-794-8282 |
Hypnosis Raises Funds for Seany
On Tuesday, June 29 at 8pm, the La Jolla Comedy Store echoed with laughter as Dr. Ken Kern entertained nearly 100 new fans with his hypnotist-comedy show (thanks to some brave audience volunteers). Proceeds totaling more than $1000 were donated directly to The Seany Foundation. Special thanks to the opening act comedians: Rajan Dharni, Kate Lee, and Daniel Storrow. The Seany Foundation would like to recognize Dr. Kern and the Comedy Store for their generosity and for hosting this outrageously fun(ny) event! Interested in hosting your own fundraiser to benefit The Seany Foundation? Ask us how!

Seany Movie Nights Prove a Big Hit Guests Dress Up for Alice in Wonderland in 3D and Sex and the City 2 Early Screenings
The most recent Seany Movie Nights, Alice in Wonderland in 3D and Ladies' Night Out, raised a total of over $21,000 combined. Proceeds benefit Seany pediatric cancer research and patient care projects. Last March, thanks to our generous supporters, Seany's Sponsor-a-Kid program invited over 50 young patients and their families to attend the special screening of Alice in Wonderland free-of-charge. Costume contest contestants made the judges' final decisions difficult, but all participants went home with prizes. On May 26, over 200 stunning ladies (and gentlemen) walked the red carpet to be the first to see Sex and the City 2. Some even arrived by limousine! The pre-show soiree boasted wine and a variety of cheese, meats, and fruits. Thank you to Rype Catering Group for their kind food donation. To see photos from these extraordinary events, check out Seany's Flickr Photostream. Seany's next big movie night is anticipated for Thursday, November 18, and is rumored to be featuring Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I.For more information, check for updates on Seany's Blog. |

Midwest Celebration Raises $30K
Thank you to our passionate supporters who attended the Michigan Everything is Possible Celebration on Sunday, June 13 and raised over $30,000 for Seany Foundation projects (many who could not attend that evening also mailed in generous contributions).
The Michigan Celebration was held at the elegant Skyline Club in Southfield, MI, and featured a strolling dinner, cocktails, silent/live auctions, an opportunity drawing, and live entertainment by the Jesse Palter Band. Over 100 new and old friends of all ages made an appearance for the evening's festivities. The Seany Foundation would also like to give a special thanks to local businesses who helped make this event possible. For a full list of event sponsors and auction item donors, visit Seany's Blog. Once again, thank you to our gracious donors for making the difference! To view more photos from the event, visit Seany's Flickr Photostream.

Thank You, Seany Volunteers!
The Seany Foundation relies on a core group of volunteers to assist at events and to help spread the word about the foundation's mission. Last month, Mitch Robins recognized the efforts of our volunteer members of Team Seany with an outing to the world-famous San Diego Zoo.
