Throwdown On The River is This Weekend!

That's right folks, the first festival the Jaycees have ever 100% owned is  coming up this weekend Sept 3 & 4!!  Dustin, Hillary and I are very excited about this and proud to say we have 25 teams, some from as far at Colorado and Oklahoma coming to compete in our event!!  BUT, to make sure everything is successful, we are going to need your help, the good news, we have most all the heavy work covered, tents are being put up by the rental folks, tables are being delivered...so here is what we do need.

Help is needed starting at 2:00 for final set up of the concert area, setting up ticket table, beer sales, t-shirt sales and some general clean up at night.  The evening wraps up at 11:00 PM.  During this time, you will have an amazing concert from the Dubuque Rock Veterans!

9:00 AM - We are going to be setting up for the peoples choice and getting things ready to go for competition turn in.  The work here is pretty minimal, more just selling beer/soda/water, tasting tickets, manning a tasting table...all in all pretty light.  The day goes until 5:00 at which time we do have tear down, BUT remember, all the real heavy work, tents, fencing..is taken care of.  Oh, did I mention Boomtangle is playing 11-4?  Great entertainment again!!
As a thank you for your help, everyone who comes and volunteers does get a free throwdown t-shirt, these are not the run-of-the-mill standard t-shirts either, big thanks goes out to Envision Sports, with their help we were able to bump up the quality of the shirt and they are super nice!!
