Hi Everyone!

This weekend, Sunday, November 21st, we will be working in the warehouse at 11 a.m. again (directions below). This seems to be a time when few people have conflicts other than the Packers or Bears (hit the early church service!). We will be unloading shipments of books from Scholastic and re-stacking them in such a way that we can easily access each title in the shipment. There are many titles and some are buried. I also got in 4 pallets from a wholesaler that need to checked against the invoice and unpacked. Also, we will soon send out preliminary loads of books and toys to some of the agencies and communities we support. Mostly, these will be from the bulk donated toys we have received already, so we can get those out of the way and make room to spread out the huge amount of miscellaneous toys that are already starting to come in. We will eventually need to sort these toys by gender and age so we can more easily and quickly pull what we need for each group we serve. If we have time, I would like to devise a battle plan for further sorting what we have so building loads for our agencies can be fast and fair.

We will also have boxes to pick up soon as calls come in from retails with full loads to empty. If we can't cover these on our own, we will put out a request to see if one of you can swing by and empty the box into your vehicle and deliver them, at your convenience, to my office (Dubuque365) at 401 Locust Street, across from Five Flags Civic Center. When someone accepts the gig, I will post that it has been taken care of on the facebook page. Which brings me to that.

The Warehouse is at 5401 Chavenelle Rd. on Dubuque's west side. Turn west on Chavenelle from the Northwest Arterial at the Medical Associates intersection (turning away from Med. Assoc.). Continue through the industrial park and through the stop sign at Radford Road. The warehouse is the second structure on the right, just past Kirchhoff Budweiser Distributing. Our entrance is around back.
