Happy Monday everyone!
It
is a beautiful day in Iowa! Football weather is here and the leaves are
starting to change! Many chapters are working hard on their haunted
houses and forests and gearing up for fall projects! It is a great time
to ask a friend or co-worker to be a Jaycee!
We didn't have a Fire-Up Friday Challenge last week so we are having a Manic Monday Challenge! Not manic as in depression. Manic as it relates to mania! MEMBERSHIP MANIA!
I'd like to take a chance to recognize the chapters that worked their tails off last month and won some great prizes. As a state we were +9 for the month! Kudos to three chapters that went +4 for the month: Dubuque, Waterloo and Worth County!
September Membership Mania Challenge!
It's
a Membership Mania week! We are sitting at -27 year-to-date and need 28
more new members by THIS THURSDAY at 5pm to get to year-to-date growth.
We came so close last month, and I know we can do it! As of this
morning there is only one chapter at growth for September
(Congratulations Cedar Rapids!). We have a ton of chapters sitting at
even or -1 or -2. Just a few new members would put those chapters at
growth!
Here is the challenge!- Each member that recruits a NEW MEMBER this month will get a scratch off lottery ticket! You could win thousands of dollars!
- Each
member that recruits TWO NEW MEMBERS will get their choice of a
die-cast Iowa, ISU or UNI bank! These retail for $20-25 each and are a
great way to show school spirit! You get to choose which bank you'd like
at the upcoming convention! If you can't make it we will make
arrangements to get it to you!
- Any member that personally recruits THREE NEW MEMBERS this month will also be invited to the OYI champagne toast at October
convention with our OYI recipients AND our national president! You will
also get a 2010 Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger t-shirt

new member info and recruiter name for this challenge must be received
by the Regional Director by 5pm on Thursday, September 30th.

don't forget, you are still eligible for the 2010 Harder, Better,
Faster, Stronger state t-shirt incentive when you recruit a total of 5

Fire-up Friday Challenge from August!
Winning
chapters, please attend the October Leadership Conference to pick up
your items! These will be announced at the lunch on Saturday, October 9th.
Each chapter that gets to +1 will get a logoed item. (magnets, keychains, hats, etc.) Each chapter that gets to +2 will get an even nicer logoed item. (shirt, attache)
Each
chapter that gets to +3 for August will receive a nice bottle of wine
from my personal collection. (And trust me, It won't be Arbor Mist or
Boone's Farm! I am a bit of a wine snob!) What
happens when you get to +4 or higher? All of these items PLUS your
chapter will be invited to the OYI champagne reception at October
convention with our OYI recipients AND our national president!
