RAGBRAI Help Needed!!

Fellow Jaycees,

This weekend we have been hired by the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce to park cars on 07/31/2010 starting at 6:00 AM until approximately 2:00 PM next to McGraw Hill.  They have already paid as a sizeable amount of money which is helping greatly with our cash flow given the poor weather we have had for all but one of our events.  We will need to have 20 people there at all times (5:45 AM until 2:00 PM) to fulfill our end of the contract.  If we do not meet their requirement, repayment to the Chamber or payment to hire workers, will be in order and I really don't want to see that.  If we cannot meet the requirements we are putting the future community projects such as Washington Park Decorating, Toys for Kids, and Holidays from the Heart in jeopardy for lack of funding.  I want to make sure we are able to give back, so, I need to call on our membership to help out.

We are setting up two shifts for the 31st, 5:45 AM until 10:00 and 9:45 AM until 2:00 so it's not an entire day.  Every volunteer who I have a shirt size for by tomorrow (07/27/2010) will get a free t-shirt (e-mail c_puetz@hotmail.com).  I have Envision Sports creating the shirt right now.  As usual beverages are provided.  Please let us know ASAP if you can help.  Given the congestion, I would recommend parking in the downtown area and walking down to the site if possible.  I will have something in addition for those who commit to working the entire shift.

Thank you all,
Chris Puetz
