I would like to congratulate the following chapters that achieved growth in June:

Congratulations to the Red Region and the Black Region for achieving growth in June!

I have some good news! We are very close to growth as a state for July!

 

Congratulations to the following chapters who have achieved July growth as of 3:30pm TODAY:  Sioux City, Ames, Nevada, Schaller, Cedar Rapids, Monticello, Cresco, & Iowa City! Red Region is also at growth!

 

We have many chapters that are sitting at even right now for July and JUST ONE NEW MEMBER would put these chapters at growth for July:
Hawarden, Primghar, Spencer, Eagle Grove, Stratford, Gowrie, Marcus, Waterloo, Waverly, Greene, Mason City, Fairfield, Van Buren County, North Liberty, Ankeny, Atlantic, Clive, Council Bluffs, & Urbandale.

 

Chairman of the Board Mark Welbes used to compare being even at membership with "kissing your sister" so I encourage you all to get a visual in your head and think about having to kiss a sibling and how uncomfortable that would be. I'm just kidding. :)

 

You still have a week to get your chapter to growth, but I need to call the national president tomorrow and tell him where we're at for membership numbers.  I would REALLY like to be able to tell him that we are at growth for July. Which chapters can help me do that? You can turn any new members in to your Regional Director and send me a text message or email to let me know you've done so. They will enter them into the system and we'll see if we can get to growth tomorrow! :)

How would you like one of those Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger t-shirts? You can win one this week! This challenge is related to how much you know or rather WHO you know in our great organization. :)

 

Take a look at the Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger logo on our state web site www.iowajaycees.org and identify each of the people in the logo and their chapter. Each silhouette is a 2010 local chapter president that posed for the logo. Little did they know that they would soon be famous! :)

 

You must submit your entry via email to me at president@iowajaycees.org and include:

1. Correct name and spelling of each local chapter president in the logo.
2. The chapter for each local president.
3. The names must be in the correct order: Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
4. Your name
5. Your chapter name or if aged out, list Senate or Governor's Association

 

Please pass this email along to your chapter email lists and list-servs so everyone can participate! You may use your printed roster book, the internet, Facebook, or friends to figure out the names! This is easy! Each one of these presidents were in attendance at the year-end convention in Dubuque!
