We're back at the casino for this meeting. We'll be presenting people the awards we've won at National and State Convention.  Come down to give recognition to the achievements of our members and chapter. There will be refreshments and snacks will be provided. 

 

Friday, July 16th - Dubuque and All That Jazz... 5pm - 9:30pm

Set up begins right around 1:00 and the event officially kicks off at 5:00.  We will be selling beer, soda, and water and could use all the help we can get, typically we need around 50 people in all.  If you don't want to work at a beverage stand we also need ticket sellers and people to help with cleanup at the end.  These events help fund everything else we do during the year including ID's, Community functions, and some of the great socials we have had this year.  Stick around after Jazz for clean up and then free pizza for the group.

 

Saturday, July 24th - Chestnut Mountain Resort, Galena, IL 2:45pm. We will be going on a 1 ½ hour Mississippi Explorer Cruise which also includes an Alpine Slide/Scenic Chair Ride to and from the departure area. Cost of this event is $25.00 for adults $20.00 for children 7-11 and $15.00 for children 3-6. If you would rather just do the Alpine Slide Rides are $8.00 for adults $7.00 for Children under 12. Join Jaycees from around the state for a fun day at Adventureland Park in Altoona! The new water park will be open and the traditional rides, shows and attractions are a ton of fun! Wear a Jaycee shirt to show your pride and bring your family and friends! Tickets are $25 (a savings of $10) for anyone 4 years old and up. We will have a Jaycee picnic area outside the park with a welcome breakfast where you can pick up your tickets and stop back outside for a Jaycee lunch! The park is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. that day! Tickets must be pre-paid or paid for the day of the event. Please RSVP to Jen Gracey at president@iowajaycees.org by August 1. Please indicate how many tickets you need. You can also reserve these tickets for family and friends, but they are only good for August 8th. We hope to see you there!

 

Iowa Jaycees Reunion - Noon to 6pm
Saylorville Lake at Jester Park (NW edge of Des Moines) at Shelter House #2.  Just take Hwy 141 West from Des Moines Western suburbs and turn right at Jester park right before the town of Granger.
Bring your own food and beverages to the event.  Table service will be provided by the Iowa Governors Association.
