EARTH DAY Event - Thursday, April 22, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm Dubuque Art Center (DAC), Dubuque 2.0 and the City of Dubuque will host an Earth Day event featuring the closing of the Doors to Sustainability exhibit at the Historic Roshek Building, 700 Locust St. The DAC will be present to help field questions about the exhibit, as well as to share a documentary about the Doors to Sustainability experience and provide information on their ongoing self-guided audio tour of the doors throughout area businesses. Featured artists and sustainability experts will be on hand to discuss each door and its corresponding principle as well as to answer questions. The event will provide visitors with an opportunity to share information about their favorite "green" locations to assist in generating a community green asset map. Citizens are asked to bring ideas about and locations of their favorite parks, trails, gardens, and sustainable businesses to assist in the creation of content for the asset map. Any place or organization that applies to Dubuque's sustainability principles belongs on the map. RAGBRAI Community Meeting
