This year, the Dubuque Jaycees have made a commitment to help save lives from cancer by taking part in the American Cancer Society Relay For LifeŽ and we are hoping you will support us. Together we can make a difference in the fight against cancer.
So, what is Relay?
Relay is a unique community event where our team raises money to support the American Cancer Society's life-saving mission. We'll camp out overnight and take turns walking around the track. To start off the evening, there is an incredible ceremony to celebrate cancer survivors and caregivers, and at dusk, a moving ceremony is held to honor and remember those who have fought the disease. Relay is a night full of fun, hope, and remembrance - a life-changing experience.
When being faced with cancer, many people can feel helpless. Now is our opportunity to do something and fight back against the disease by making a donation to our team. We have the power to help create a world where cancer can no longer claim another year of anyone's life.
I hope you'll consider supporting our efforts by making a secure, tax-deductible online donation.
Every donation really does make a difference. I know that times are tighter than normal for many of us, but any amount you can give truly can help save lives. The American Cancer Society is saving lives and creating more birthdays by helping people stay well, helping people get well by finding cures and by fighting back.
Each of us has our own reasons for caring about the fight against cancer. Whatever your reasons, I hope you'll choose to make a difference by making a donation online to support our efforts.
Thank you and I hope to see you at Relay this year!
Sincerely,
Alyson Tasker
