February Membership Frenzy
Attention all Dubuque Jaycees, we are running our first membership incentive program of the year during the month of February.  During the month of February, we will keep a running tally of each new member you recruit and at the end of the month, the person with the most new recruits will win a JCI Polo and Pad Folio.

This is a great chance to start off our year with strong growth and to build our chapter for years to come.  Reach out to your friends and co-workers, let them know what we do and bring them to a meeting, social, or ID event.  The benefits to membership are many, let's bring others into the greatest young professional network in Dubuque, in Iowa, in the United States, and in the World!

If you have any questions, please contact either myself or our Membership Vice President, Beth McGorry.

Thank you,
Chris Puetz
President, Dubuque Jaycees

2010 RAGBRAI
From the Dubuque Convention & Visitors Bureau

We will be welcoming over 15,000 riders from across the United States and 13 different countries to Dubuque! It is going to take a lot of hands to make the event a success.

We will have committees that will be responsible for making the event run. The following committees will need to be formed and will need assistance:

Campgrounds
We are looking for volunteers to help with this area the weekend of July 23-24 and again on July 31.

Information Center
We will need volunteers to staff several information centers throughout the community the day of Saturday, July 31 and possibly the weekend of July 23-24. Knowledge of Dubuque is key for this committee.

Parking
We are looking for a team to be the main points of contact for this. At this time we are looking to secure a location in the City Limits to park 600 plus cars. The persons on this committee will assist with getting people into town on July 23 & July 24 and will also be the main contact for getting cars out of town on Saturday, July 31.

Shuttle Service
This committee will be working to organize the shuttle systems throughout Dubuque to make sure people get to vehicles, get to the airport, etc.

Volunteers
It will take many volunteers the day of the event to make the event run smoothly. We will need two people to serve as the contact for the Volunteers Committee and other volunteers to help in the recruitment of volunteers for the day.  The two co-chairs of this committee will also serve on the Executive Committee

Hospitality
This committee will be chaired by the Convention & Visitor Bureau. We will need members to help come up with the theme for Dubuque RAGBRAI, to help in selling the t-shirts and merchandise, and to help with decorating the community for the riders.

We will have a few other committees that will be popping up along the way, but these are the main committees that will need the most attention.

If you are interested in serving on any one of these committees please contact me ASAP as meetings will start to take place in the upcoming weeks. Time commitment to these committees will range, some will be once a week, some bi-weekly etc.

Thank you again for volunteering! This is going to be a great event!
