Who We Are
WComms_logo_p
Wonacott Communications is an award-winning independent PR agency that loves the industries to which we cater - and social/online interactive entertainment is no exception. Our team is based in Los Angeles, with deep experience and a unique ability to work with companies in our backyard - or halfway around the world. Though Online Entertainment Insider caters to social entertainment, we also work with companies in the interactive entertainment industry generally, consumer electronics, consumer lifestyle/products, digital media and technology verticals.

Ahh, nothing like a Friday morning fire drill to get the ol' juices flowing. As our building was emptying onto the streets looking like a business-casual "Occupy West LA" meetup, our staff was using their cell phones and laptops to get some mobile hotspot work done outside! Why? Because no one wants to work late on Fridays! Not sure why the rest of the building were staring at us. Just sayin'.

Bethesda's Skyrim had some big news this week, the gamer social service dubbed the RPG the "Most played game of 2011," topping Modern Warfare 3 and FIFA 2012. But while Skyrim may take the honors for the most played game of 2011, the online free-to-play war simulator, World of Tanks wound up being the most populous. The game broke its own Guinness World Record for the "Most Players Online Simultaneously on One MMO Server" with an astounding 250,000 players. For comparison's sake, experts estimate World of Warcraft has about 2,500 people on a server.

Find out more news from around the world of digital entertainment in this week's edition of the Online Entertainment Insider, and have a great weekend!

Best,
