Curriculum Outline
In the Fall we take students sailing to the Boston Harbor Islands. Students learn to sail and understand the harbor environment. They also engage in a research project done in conjunction with Sailors for the Sea's Carbon Neutral Boating effort.
In the Winter, teams of 4-5 students make 10 visits to our shop at the Charlestown Navy Yard. They build a 10ft., wooden, rowboat that becomes theirs to use.
