Renewal of Self
by Dannette Henley, MA, LPC

Spring is a time of renewal of the earth. Everything is being refreshed and transformed into newness. The energy of spring can be felt all around and gives off a general sense of regeneration. This feeling extends to people as well. A simple walk outside fills one's senses with the freshness of life. Individuals begin to feel energized and optimistic.
Now is a great time to use some of this energy and renewed strength to take an honest inventory of life. Use that account to determine changes which could be made to better the course of it. Is it time to mend a broken relationship? Is there a personal habit that needs to be addressed? Is there an area of growth that can bear fruit during this season of change?
Spring is a natural time of growth and rejuvenation. It can be a perfect time for positive personal development as well. As the earth nurtures new growth ask yourself:
- Am I allowing myself the time and the room to grow?
- Are there areas of my life that need to be pruned to allow personal seeds of success to flourish?
- What can I do to nurture growth in others and give them what they need to blossom?
As we enter this time of refreshing, consider pausing to reflect and take the time to grow!
If you or anyone you know could use help in personal renewal,
please contact us!
