 Whew! We made it through another pride and can we say each and every one of you looked FANTASTIC! It was a crazy weekend, a wonderful weekend, a beautiful weekend all because of you! 
I had to take a couple of weeks off to recuperate but I am fully rested!

So we have all rested and now it is time to GO! This weekend is chock full of lovely, fun, down and dirty things to do. Start with us tonight at the Cellar for the Last Call Party! During EDEN Weekend we all were working so hard we didn't have time to have fun ourselves! So tonight we are doing it one last time at the Cellar, join us for Open Mic from 8-10 then dance and take a shot with us right after with DJ Astro and DJ Jai! On Friday, head to SF for the Kitty Kat Masquerade at one of our favorite joints the Supperclub. Saturday it is a double header here in the East Bay Culture Fuck in Berkeley then O'Fasho! in Oakland. Check out our Upcoming Events section we got a surprise for you!

EDEN is looking for new talent to showcase in the upcoming months. Do you spit lyrics, beatbox with the best of 'em, bust a move on the concrete, speak words that are spoken, sing smooth tunes or have a special talent you want to showcase? Then we want YOU!
Open mic from 8pm-10pm before we hit the dance floor. You must sign up to get a spot by emailing events@edeninthebay.com. There is a time limit of 5 minutes per person/duo or 7 minutes per group (3 or more people).
The open mic will start promptly at 8pm so make sure you get there!

July's Feature is the semi-famous, famous Mia McKenzie: founder of the world changing blog, Black Girl Dangerous. Funny, Gorgeous, and Brilliant. Please come fully prepared to have your mind and heart blown away. She's been known to have lacy red panties thrown at her after she's performed...so be sure to have your dodge reflex on and maybe a few extra pair of underwear in case you get the spirit.
Mia McKenzie is a writer and a smart, scrappy Philadelphian with a deep love of vegan pomegranate ice cream and fake fur collars. She is a black feminist and a freaking queer, facts that are often reflected in her writings, which have won her some awards and grants, such as the Astraea Foundation's Writers Fund Award and the Leeway Foundation's Transformation Award. She just finished a novel and has a short story forthcoming in The Kenyon Review. She is a nerd, and the creator of Black Girl Dangerous, a revolutionary blog.
