E-mailE-mail Marketing FAQs
E-mail Photo
Here are some tips for effective e-mail marketing. Many people want to know when to send their e-mails.

  • The best time to send e-mail is when your readers are at their computers. Messages sent late at night may end up getting deleted in the morning rush.
  • If you're trying to reach business people, for example, send your message Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
  • Test different mailing times and days of the week to determine which work best for you.
  • Use your open rate and open date stamp to learn when readers tend to open your mail.
  • Sending very frequently (daily or more than once a day) only works if you have timely, relevant information to share.
If you have an e-mail marketing question or need help with an upcoming project, please send me an e-mail

SocialSocial Media Tips for Marketing to Women

Marketing to Women
It's always important to match your message to the medium. That's especially true when you're targeting women via social media. Here are some suggestions on how to do that.

  • Women are three times less likely than men to care about the size of their social network. Show personal attention.
  • Understand who you're talking to. Seventy-four percent post photos of family and friends and 71 percent talk about what they're doing.
  • Security and privacy are big concerns. Create a comfortable environment.
  • Be part of the conversation. When women are online, 50 percent are connecting with family and friends, reading a blog or posting a comment.
  • Engage rather than sell. Always be transparent about who you are.
Please call or e-mail me if you would like to learn more about adding social media to your traditional public relations program.
