Sequim Solar Tour

The Clallam Solar Tour celebrates local solar power with a free tour of solar-powered and energy-efficient buildings. Three Sequim-area homes and one business are featured on the self-guided solar tour open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Pick up maps and other tour info at McComb Gardens, 751 McComb Rd., Sequim begining at 10am.
A "Spin Your Meter Backwards" presentation will precede the tour at 10 a.m. at the McComb Gardens learning center. Learn about solar power products, pricing, system performance, financial incentives and available loan programs. The presentation also covers the "Solarize Sequim" rebates, which offer customers extra savings through a bulk-purchase program ongoing through August 31st. For solar tour attendees this deadline will be extended to allow participation in the Solarize Sequim savings program. See below for more information.
Each of the solar tour sites features a grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) system as well as a range of energy-efficient building designs and appliances. Owners of the three homes and one business will be on hand to answer questions. The sites are all within a few miles of each other, so all of the tour site can be visited in a couple hours.
