#1: 10 am - Tour Kick - Off:
Wildberry Farm - Cochrane Family - Power Trip Energy Office
2343 Thomas St., Port Townsend
Ph: 360-643-3080 From Hwy 20 (Sims Way) entering town, turn left on Sheridan St. (just past QFC). Proceed about ½ mile to Hastings Ave. and turn left. Thomas St. will be on left after ¼ mile. Power Trip Energy Office first house on the right side of Thomas St. Four renewable energy systems including: 2.64 kW Sharp PV array on Power Trip Energy's Office, a 1.3 kW thin film array on the barn roof, a solar powered greenhouse fan, and a Thermomax 30 tube solar thermal collector on the Cochrane residence.
#2: Richard and Sue Dandridge
719 29th St.,
Port Townsend From Power Trip Energy Office, return to Hastings Ave, turn right, stay on Hastings past Sheridan, turn left on Holcomb, turn right on 29th. Dandridge home 2nd house on left. 3.6 KW grid tied system with 18 Sanyo 200 watt modules and 2 inverters (1 for south facing modules and 1 for west facing modules).
#3: Gigi Callaizakis & Steve Moore
2904 Jackman St.,
Port Townsend 1 block from Dandridge house, near corner of Jackman and 29th St. 7.2 kW grid tied PV system with 36 Sanyo 200 watt solar modules and a SMA SunnyBoy 7000 watt inverter. The PV array fits nicely on this Ross Chapin designed home.
#4: Chris Hollishead
2708 Gise St., Port Townsend From Dandridge/Callaizakis, proceed back to Hastings Ave, turn right (away from town). Proceed 1 block and turn left onto Gise St. Hollinshead house the 2nd on the left. Two solar thermal collectors (Thermomax) and a 165 gal. storage tank, preheats on demand domestic water heater and radiant floors.
#5: Stan and Ann Willard
1731 Rosewood St,
Port Townsend Return to Hastings, turn right proceed to stop sign. Turn left onto Discovery, proceed to stop sign. Go straight (now "F" St.) to stop sign (Cherry St.). Turn left onto Cherry, at "Y" in Rd. bear left onto Redwood. Turn left onto "U" St., and left again onto Rosewood St. Willard house approximately 300 yards down street on the right. 4.8 kW PV array (24 Sanyo 200 watt modules) is equipped with Enphase micro-inverters. The Enphase micro-inverters transmit performance data to the web.
#6 Erik and Marnie Frederickson
1860 Maple St., Port Townsend Proceed back to Redwood. Turn left onto Redwood, at stop sign ("W" St.) turn right. Turn right onto Cherry St. (up hill), left onto "U" St., follow road as turns to the right onto Fir Street, up and over hill. Left on Q St. and left on Maple Circle. Green Bungalow. 3.4 kW PV array. The property also features a rainwater catchment system which can store up to 11,000 gallons in underground cisterns for irrigation.
#7 Jeff & Shelly Randall
1142 Adams Street,
Port Townsend From Maple St., proceed back to Fir St., turn left. Up and over the hill ½ mile to "F" St. Turn left onto F St. and proceed about 5 blocks turning left onto Tyler St. when road turns to the right. Take immediate right onto Roosevelt. Proceed two blocks, Randall house on right on the corner of Adams and Roosevelt Streets. 2 kW Sanyo array and 2100 watt SMA inverter. 30 tube Apricus solar thermal evacuated tube collector and 110 gal storage tank pre-heating domestic hot water.
#8 Bob and Phyllis Schultz
938 Monroe St., Port Townsend Proceed east on Roosevelt St. (turning right at the stop sign and right again onto Monroe St. at the yield sign. Proceed one block, Schultz home on the left at the corner of Blaine and Monroe. 4 kW Sanyo array has their PSE meter spinning backwards on a partly sunny August day. Ten Sanyo 200 watt modules and SMA 4000 watt inverter.
#9 Rodger and Jill Schmitt
536 Lawrence St.,
Port Townsend Proceed south on Monroe St. 3 blocks to Lawrence St., turn right on Lawrence. Schmitt house 3rd on right at corner of Lawrence and Madison Streets. Our 100th Installation! 3 kW system composed of 18 Sanyo 200 watt modules and a SMA 4000 watt inverter.
#10 Neil and Kathryn Lamka Home
250 Maple Lane, Port Ludlow Site in Port Ludlow. From Hadlock/Irondale proceed on HWY 116 (Oak Bay Rd.) approximately 7 miles. Maple Lane on the left (water side) across Street from Port Ludlow fire station. Follow Maple lane to end (turning left and right).
From Hood Canal Bridge, turn right on Hwy. 116 (Oak Bay Rd.) and proceed approx. 5 miles through Port Ludlow. Turn right onto Maple Lane across HWY from Port Ludlow Fire Station, proceed to end of lane. 7.2 kW grid tied PV system composed of 36 Sanyo 200 watt modules feeding a SMA SunnyBoy 7000 watt inverter.
#11 2 pm Tour De-Brief and Wrap-Up:
Port Townsend Community Center
620 Tyler St. At corner of Lawrence and Tyler Streets, across from Aldrich's Market in Uptown Port Townsend. From Schmitt house (#9) proceed west on Lawrence St. 4 blocks. Street parking available on all side streets. Access the building on the west (Tyler St.) side. See a solar powered fountain, enjoy refreshments, prizes from the solar scavenger hunt, and presentations on the latest in solar equipment, tax credits, and financial incentives.
