| United Way's Community Survey Approaches 500 Mark | |
The United Way Board launched the Community Survey on June 16, 2010, as the beginning of its community planning process to learn how Douglas County citizens rank community goals and priorities. A goal of 500 completed surveys was set, although more than 500 would be preferred. As of today, 400 surveys have been completed.
If you have already completed the community survey, Thanks! If you haven't, please take some time to fill out the survey. It only takes about 5 minutes to complete. Consider forwarding this link to your friends, family, neighbors and anyone else who has an interest in human service goals in Douglas County. Click here.
United Way will be collecting the survey information until August 6. The Community Planning process will continue in the fall, when focus groups will discuss goals within the broad areas of Education, Health, and Self-Sufficiency, by understanding the survey results with insight from relevant community data.
Once all information is compiled, United Way board of directors will use it to identify funding priorities for 2012 that have the greatest impact on Douglas County. United Way Community Impact efforts in Education, Health and Self-Sufficiency will result in measurable community changes with lasting results.
