This summer we are offering an integrative approach to working with the meridian, muscle, lymphatic and organ systems with a course called Table Shiatsu, Touch for Health and Clinical Pathology. The course offers powerful assessment techniques for identifying muscle/organ weaknesses and very specific protocols for strengthening them.
Thursday mornings will cover a unique Table Shiatsu sequence developed by Dr. Phil Selinsky, that combines Shiatsu, neurollymphatic scrubbing, neurovascular balances and cross fiber friction. Table Shiatsu interfaces with the circuits that power the organs and glands by using deep stimulating acupressure. The session protocol effectively releases pain relief endorphins and systematically restores energy and function to the body.
Friday mornings students will learn Touch for Health protocols and direct application to a variety of clinical patholgies from participating students, guests and instructor case studies. Touch for Health illuminates the interelationships between the muscles, organs, glands and meridians. The approach lets you hone right in on the source of the problem and make corrections in a matter of minutes or even seconds, that can completely correct a debilitating body issue. Touch for Health is precise, quick and very specific.
Phil Selinsky, co-teacher, brings an extraordinary capacaity to address clinical pathology from a holistic perspective as a naturopath and holistic health practitioner. Common pathologies the course will address include: hiatal hernia, fibromyalsia, carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic fatigue, muscle imbalances, etc, etc. To learn more about Phil's work and what is possible with this approach click on the link to my online column at the Santa Barbara Independent: http://www.independent.com/news/2011/mar/26/hiatal-hernia/

Both approaches are taught as an integrated whole. Students with limited time may choose to study one morning a week only in Table Shiatsu or one morening with Touch for Health. We invite you to join us. 966-5802.
