June 22 2009
 Greetings!
Summer Solstice Greetings.
May the warmth of solstice radiate through your being and body. SBBTI's solstice booth was humming with waves of relaxation, oohs and aahs of bodies and minds releasing to greater softness and ease. We offered a little of everything: Seated Massage, Acupressure for Labor Support, Barefoot/Sports, Shiatsu and Energy work.

We invite you to join us this week in our clinics. In considering what's possible for your body we've asked our recent recipients to share from their experience - read below!
Blessings,

Katie Mickey
What's Possible with Deep Tissue
Back and Hip Relief

" I came in with lower back pain. I felt like I couldn't even stand up straight.  Now my range of motion in my back feels much better. I feel euphoric! I am coming back!"
Isela, clinic client commenting on her Deep Tissue session with Rachelle StephensAnatomy

"Back in 2007 I had a hip replacement: ever since I've kind of waddled when I walk. Before my session today I could barely walk. Now I feel like I can walk normally. My pain went from about a six to a three. I'm coming back and next time I'm scheduling two sessions back to back."

D. Griggs, SBBTI clinic client commenting on Deep Tissue session with Danielle Bryngelson

What's Possible with Swedish Massage
Relaxation and Body Awareness

"Michelle is awesome - she has real innate talent. I came for relaxation this time.  She brought sensation to parts of my body that I haven't felt in months. She has really strong fingers, but not pain inducing. The students here are really good."
Sharon Bunn after session with Level One student Michelle Freniere

"That was amazing. I have received lots of massages from expensive spas; often they're either too light or too deep. This session with Rachelle was just perfect - the right blend of both."
Victoria Gonzales, clinic client commenting on her Reflexology/Swedish blend session with Rachelle Stephens

What's Possible with Reflexology
Arm Pain Relief

Anatomy" I have had recurring numbness, pain and tingling in my arm for weeks. Sometimes it would keep me awake at night. One day someone asked me how my arm was doing and I suddenly realized that I had no more symptoms after receiving regular reflexology sessions from my classmates."

Eve Roma, SBBTI 550 student and reflexologist in SBBTI's clinic

What's Possible with Craniosacral Therapy
Expanded Awareness

Anatomy
"The craniosacral treatment put me in a profound meditative state.  I felt myself drifting into a deep inner space where I became very aware of subtle rhythms of body systems that are barely perceptible in ordinary consciousness.  At one point I felt a definite release of tension in my cranium - I must have been holding it for some time without realizing it.  All in all, I highly recommend this is a worthwhile form of therapy."

Detty Piekart, 200hr SBBTI graduate and recipient in SBBTI's Craniosacral Clinic

"Receiving Craniosacral Therapy is like dropping into a deep well; the mind settles and the sensation in the body is like warm elixir permeating all the tissue layers and beyond the body. I often feel like I am floating for days afterwards."

Katie Mickey, SBBTI director and recipient in SBBTI's Craniosacral Clinic
