Dave Goodwin - Award of Merit from CNLA!

Award of Merit
Dave Goodwin, left, and Darryl Newman

We are honored to announce that Dave Goodwin has earned the Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association's Award of Merit.  This is the highest honor that CNLA bestows upon one member every year, for their continued service in furthering the interests of the Green Industry.

After graduating from Wamogo Vocational Agriculture High School in 1982, Dave has worked in every facet of the landscape business, from running his own design/build/maintain landscape company to working in retail, wholesale and growing nurseries.

Dave is a past president of CNLA.  While serving the association, he spearheaded the effort to help bring solid industry experience to the debate on invasive plants, and continues to serve on the Invasive Plant Council to this day.  He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Nurserymen's Foundation, a tax-exempt business that provides scholarships for young students interested in pursuing careers in horticulture.

Dave is in charge of overseeing the maintenance of our trucks and equipment, as well as the tree farms, perennial production, and sales yard in Watertown.

Needless to say, he's a busy guy.  It also could go without saying that he's a valued member of not only our team, but of the entire Connecticut Green Industry.  Thanks, and on behalf of all us, congratulations Dave!
